Green day was an attractive day for my grade 4 students too. This Green day project was also divided in two main parts.Lions and Tigers were assigned to make a group work following this following sucess criteria:
Label the parts of a real flower and paste it in a cardboard.
Tear green paper in small pieces to paste them around the border of the cardboard.
Write three ideas why plants are important in our lives.
Paste these ideas in the cardboard to finish the poster.
On the other hand, Leopards also created some beautiful souvenirs to share with their friends from the other two rooms. I was very happy to see all grade 4 not only enjoying while making these projects, but also showing the responsibility we have to save the plants in our home "The Earth".
Take a look at the pictures of them while working. Grrrrrrrrrrrrreat work my kids! :D
In term 1, my grade 3 students made some beautiful projects to highlight the importance of "Green Day". They understood that it is our responsibility to take care of the plants, green areas and all the plants to save our home: the Earth. They recognised the important role that plants play in the planet: to keep all living things alive.
The big project was divided in two main parts: creating posters and making some souvenirs. That is why Seals and Penguins created beautiful posters which were shown in the bulletin board, and Polar Bears made some trees souvenirs, which were shared with their friends from the other two rooms. Nice works my children! :D
Let me show you the pictures of them while working just by clicking the slideshow below:
Last week , all grade 4 were giving their group presentations about the new
Science anthem and their Germination Projects. For their group presentations they
used different pictures. They also got good results from their germination
projects because most seeds had germinated well and they could see ther
seedlings.
It was an amazing time by learning and having fun at the same
time.Lions,Tigers and Leopards could see that with love, cheers, effort and
patience, they can always have great results. You can now enjoy the video with all
the pictures taken while you were working.
GRRRREAT WORK dear children!!
In term 1, we started talking about habitats.Grade 3 students
understood that just like you and me all animals and plants need a place to live
in.They learned that there are different examples of habitats in the world from
a big forest to a simple drop of water in which some microorganisms are
found. They were very interested in learning more about habitats. All
students participated in a game in which they had to click the animal under the
right category.
In the link below you will find the web page about the habitats
games.I hope you like it.
